Last night I had crafty friend Stacy over to help her sew a couple of things. Being a teacher, I made her do most of the sewing ;-) soooo I had a little time in between mini lessons to make something of my own! I decided that I needed to make something with one of the 10 million hubby's old button down shirts I have taking up space in my craft room. Stacy made a super cute dress & shirt...can't wait to share those with you soon!
Thought I would try drawing my tutorial this time... so here goes!
Materials:
1 men's button down shirt

I left the pocket and buttons on, laziness or "nostalgia"?
I added piece #2 to make my piece longer, I wanted it to be able to wrap it around my neck 2 times comfortably.
Now, when it comes to the end of a project, I am excited and just want to finish. This is why I did not take the time to research how to close my tube without sewing directly on the outside. So now I have a flat seam in the back of my tube scarf.... oh well, I have enough hair to cover it up ;-) Ha.
Pretty quick and easy! So does anybody know how to close a tube without making a flat seam? Does anyone know what I am even talking about when I say that? :)
