Last year I knit a few cowls, and as usual I used "trial and error" to attempt to get it right. I used different size needles, different kinds of thread and stitches... yet they seemed to turn out, too tall, too floppy, or too stiff. :) So here is my first attempt this year.
Pattern:
Yarn is a "medium-thin" weight (hows that for exact?!)
Needles: 10.5
Cast on 80 stiches
Work in Knit 1 Row, Purl 1 Row till you have about 6 inches.
I guess working in knit/purl makes it kind of "roll" at the edges... I don't love this look; I am going to try some thicker yarn and maybe different stitches in attempts to get more of a stand-up kind of look.
